Das Camp Jeep 2018, die größte und bunteste Veranstaltung des Jahres der Jeep Owners Group (JOG) für Jeep-Fans aus ganz Europa, wird vom 13. bis 15. Juli in der Spielberg-Arena des österreichischen Red Bull Rings stattfinden.
Die großartige Arena wird ein perfekter Hintergrund für das jährliche Treffen sein, mit seinem aktionsgeladenen Programm an Spaß und Abenteuer rund um Jeep. Star des Camp Jeep 2018 wird zweifellos der neue Wrangler (JL) sein.
Besucher des Camp Jeep werden die Fähigkeiten des neuen Wrangler nicht nur auf anspruchsvollen Geländestrecken herausfordern können, sondern auch auf dem Asphalt erleben, wieviel Komfort und Fahrdynamik ein Wrangler JL zu bieten hat - und damit zum idealen Fahrzeug für jeden Tag und jeden Einsatz wird.

Zusätzlich zu den Probefahrten mit dem neuen Wrangler können die Teilnehmer des fünften Camp Jeep auch den außergewöhnlichen, 522 kW (710 PS) starken Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk fahren, den sein 6,2 Liter großer V8-Motor mit Kompressor-Aufladung zum stärksten Jeep der über 75-jährigen Jeep-Geschichte macht. Die berühmte Rennstrecke des Red Bull Ring bietet dafür die besten Möglichkeiten.
Und selbstverständlich stehen auch alle anderen aktuellen Jeep Modelle für Probefahrten bereit, um die eigenen Geländefähigkeiten im Fahrtechnik-Bereich begleitet von Experten der Jeep Academy womöglich noch mit einigen extremen Tricks anzureichern.
Die immer wieder ansteckende Atmosphäre im Stil der Jeep Jamborees lebt außerdem von einer Reihe von Shows, von Live Musik, Barbecues und den beliebten Aktivitäten für Kinder. All das folgt der Formel der Stars-and-Stripes Tradition von über 30 4x4 Treffen, die von Kalifornien bis Maine, von Arizona bis Tennessee jedes Jahr in den U.S.A. stattfinden. Das erste davon brachte die Jeep-Familie bereits im Jahr 1953 auf dem legendären Rubicon Trail in den Bergen zwischen Kalifornien und Nevada zusammen.

Camp Jeep 2018 - the biggest and most exciting event of the year for the Jeep Owners Group (JOG) and fans of the brand from across Europe - will be held in the Spielberg Arena at the Red Bull Ring in Austria on July 13-15.
The stunning location will provide a fitting backdrop for the exciting annual get-together, which will feature an action-packed programme of Jeep thrills and adventures. And the undisputed star of this year's event will be the new Jeep Wrangler.

Camp Jeep visitors will be able to put the new model's off-road capability to the test around a series of specially designed courses, and experience first-hand how its on-road manners and improved driving dynamics make it an ideal vehicle for everyday use.

The fourth generation of the iconic Wrangler is the most capable off-road ever, thanks to a suite of new technology which, depending on the trim level, includes two advanced four-wheel drive, active, on-demand full-time systems - Command-Trac and Rock Trac - plus Tru-Lock electric front and rear axle lockers, Trac-Lok limited slip differential and electronic front sway-bar disconnect.
In addition to Wrangler test drives, those attending the fifth edition of Camp Jeep will experience a packed programme that also includes the chance to drive the extraordinary 700 hp 6.2-litre V8 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk - the most powerful and fastest Jeep model ever - on the race track.
They will also be able to test other models in the Jeep line-up and put their own off-road skills to the test alongside expert Jeep Academy drivers in the technical area, learning some extreme tricks along the way.
The incredible Jeep Jamboree-style atmosphere will be further enhanced with an array of shows, live music, barbecues and activities for children. And everything follows the same winning formula as the stars-and-stripes tradition of 4x4 gatherings that take place across the US, from California and Maine to Arizona and Tennessee, each year. More than 30 such gatherings of the Jeep family now take place across the States each year, with the first having been held in 1953 on the legendary Rubicon Trail on the mountains between California and Nevada.
